When I tossed a coin!

Well.. I didn't really get enough time to blog. So, here comes one after too long!
One incident that I remember and will always wonder about..

I was in at Goa in college, with a group of 4 friends (including me) - lets call it P, A, N, K. It was my 3rd year, the last year that we four would be together, as we would go in different directions thereon. Somehow we didn't fall into any of the groups or gangs in college like the Eagles or the XcaryFaction, etc. We'd been a quiet small independent collection of friends (of course we had lots of other friends too!)

We 4 had been together throughout our stints at college. One fine day, all of us were together in K's room. Just discussing about our futures, who would be where and doing what. Just then N gave an interesting suggestion - let's check out what destiny says, let us toss a coin - tails: destiny will keep us together in the future, and heads: we won't stay together..

That must be one idea none would normally think of huh! But we all agreed and the coin went up in the air. All mouths open. Alas, it was heads! Shit.. Can't be. Let's toss again. The coin would have thought we are idiots.

The coin went up again. Tails! Hurray!! We were all happy. But no it was not over. Now it was even 1 - 1. We decided it would be a best of 3 tosses. This final one will be the decider.

For the 3rd and final time, the coin was launched again. All fingers crossed. It turned out to be a heads! Oh no.. this isn't going anywhere. Shoulder's drooped. Is this true, is it really gonna happen? Does destiny have its own designs? N said it would come true, but P didnt believe. We started thinking...

Well.. after almost 2 years, here we are. P in Hyderabad, A in Mumbai, N in Bangalore and K in Chennai. Alas, it came true! We couldn't believe our eyes. Each one of the 4 in different cities. But then does it really mean anything? Hmm.. we were all in different parts of the country, but still the bond will remain. Well, everytime destiny poses a problem, the solution is in our hands!

What do you think?
